Designing for textile covers a lot of range of activities from tradition and contemporary craftsmanship to fashion and a furnishing a collection for interior design.
Research into, as well as the development and use of new and old material that can be applied within their disciplines.
These areas also provide rich potential for research. Thus, not only does this textile sector service huge and complex world wide industry, in addition but also a diverse and a wide ranging of nature of scope provides a fundamental creative basis to the textile designer or practitioner from which to practice many other art and design disciplines.
In this part of the world the textile industry is constantly changing owing to dependent upon wide ranging issues related to culture, policies and economy. In the long run, it is for the institution like NTI ton establish or discard some of these perception by setting a standard in design and design/makers within this disciplines Nation-wide, and eventually, given the right circumstances, a standard of international level.
These issue need to be addressed at an institutional forum that is capable of providing broad based training for textiles.
