Constitution of the Old Association (2006)

1. The name of the Old Boys/Girls Association, Raees-Ul-Ahrar College of Commerce, Rawalpindi  shall be “Old Ahrarian’ Association”.
   
    

2. Membership of the Old Ahrarian Association is open to such old students of the College as were on the rolls of the College for at least two academic years except those who were expelled, rusticated or black listed; to members of the staff of the College; and to those ex-members of the staff who have been on the strength of the college for five years.
   
    

3. An old student who has been on the rolls of the College for less than Two academic years, may be admitted as a member by the Executive Committee as a special case.
   
    

4. All members shall be Life Members.
   
    

5. The life subscription shall be Rs. 200/- or as may be refixed by the Ahrarian Association
   
    

6. The Old Ahrarian Association shall have an Executive Committee consisting of the following:
      Chief Patron           (Chairman of Shiblee Group of Colleges).
      Patron (Principal of the college shall be Patron of the Ahrarian Association)
   
   President.
     Two Vice Presidents, one of whom shall be a female.
     Honeys. Secretary who shall be nominated by the Principal from
     amongst the Ahrarian Association
     Staff members.
     Associate Secretary.
     Treasurer.
     Executive members who shall be elected by the members of
     the Union on Chapter  (Decade) basis. Each decade will be
     represented by one member.

7. The Executive Committee shall be elected every two years on the occasion of annual general meeting which shall be held in December on the College Campus.
   
    

8. Those Old Ahrarian  who are the members of the Staff of Government College will not contest for any post of Old Ahrarian Association
   .
   
    

9. The minimum age for the post of President will be 50 years.
   
    

10. The candidate for the office of the President should have studied at least for four years in the college.
    
     

11. Five members of the Executive Committee shall form a quorum for holding a meeting of the Executive Committee.
    
     

12. The quorum for a general body meeting shall be one hundred.
    
     

13. The monogram of the Old Ahrarian Association shall be the same as the college monogram with Old Ahrarian Association written at the top and Government College, Lahore written below it.
    
     

14. No amendment can be made in the rules of the Old Ahrarian Association except in a General Body meeting where at least three fourth of the members present must vote for the amendment proposed before it can be adopted.
    
     

15. The accounts of the Old Ahrarian Association shall be jointly operated by the Treasurer and the Honorary Secretary.
